Introduction
Dr. Dzigbodi A. Doke is a Fulbright scholar who attained a PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. Her career and research objectives include improving assessment of environmental risks for sound environmental management. She has a rich background in community-based resource management.
She has served as a member in the Upper West Regional Environmental Management Committee, providing technical advice on environmental management issues in the region and has collaborated on research and development projects, funded by GEF-SGP, IUCN, UNDP, DANIDA and WLE amongst others.
She is currently a Senior Lecturer, an Adjunct Researcher at Kazuhiko Takeuchi Centre for Sustainability and Resilience, Environmental Safeguards officer at WACWISA and Head of Department at UDS. She is a recipient of several prestigious awards including an International Tropical Timber Organization Fellowship Award, Society of Toxicology Travel Award and the Association of African Universities Staff Exchange Award. Her studies in the past include an undergraduate study in Integrated Development Studies from 海角乱伦社区and an MPhil in Environmental Science from the University of Ghana.
