Thomas Apusiga Adongo (PhD) is a lecturer and Department Examinations Officer in the Department of Agricultural Mechanisation and Irrigation Technology. He served as Department Coordinator of the university’s Third Trimester Field Practical Programme (TTFPP). He has more than eight (8) years professional experience with the º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø. He has provided instruction in Agricultural Meteorology, Introduction to Irrigation and Soil Physics at the undergraduate level as well as elements of hydrometeorology at the postgraduate level. He undertakes research in the areas of irrigation, soil/water conservation and management, agro-hydrology, agricultural water resources development and management, and waste management for agricultural use. Dr. Adongo has provided students’ thesis supervision at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has conducted extensive research on performance of irrigation schemes and sedimentation of reservoirs of irrigation dams across northern Ghana. He is currently an assistant editor for the International Journal of Irrigation and Agricultural Development (IJIRAD-UDS) and one of the reviewers for the Ghana Journal of Science, Technology and Development (GJSTD-UDS). He is also currently a research team member for the West African Centre of Excellence for Water, Irrigation and Sustainable Agriculture (WACWISA) in the University for Development for Studies.
