Abdul-Fatawu Shaibu is a Lecture at the Department of Agribusiness. He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Agribusiness and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and Management both earned from the University of Ghana. His educational background underscores his expertise in the realms of Economics, Research Methodology and Statistics, Farm Business Management, Agricultural Trade, Agro-industrial Management, Rural Agricultural Finance, and Project Analysis and Management and Rural Development. Since 2019, Mr. Abdul-Fatawu Shaibu has been actively engaged in his Ph.D. candidacy, focusing on advancing knowledge in the field of Agribusiness at the university of Ghana and has achieved a significant milestone by submitting his doctoral thesis for examination on 20th November 2023. His research interests span a diverse range of topics, including Climate Change and Climate information, Agricultural production, marketing and value chain and Agribusiness enterprise development reflecting his comprehensive understanding of the subject.
Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Abdul-Fatawu Shaibu has contributed significantly to the academic community. He served as the Exam Officer for the Department of Agribusiness for a period of 1 year during which he oversaw the assessment processes with precision and diligence. He has also undertaken the role of TTFPP Coordinator for the Faculty of Communication and Cultural Studies for a commendable period of three years, showcasing his leadership skills and dedication to the overall development of the university.
