MR. EMMANUEL OKOAMPAHLECTURERDEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY FACULTY OF BIOSCIENCENYANKPALA Campus
Background
Emmanuel Okoampah is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Biosciences and currently serves as a member of the Bioscience Discourse and also an editor of The Bioscience newsletter. Emmanuel has four (4) years working experience in teaching undergraduate students and conducting research. He has authored several research publications and presented most of His findings at both international and local conferences through which he has received prestigious awards. Emmanuel Okoampah’s areas of specialization span through Nanoscience and Nanotechnology where he seek to design cancer site specific drug delivery agents, waste water treatment and renewable energy generation. Emmanuel is also a trained frontline epidemiologist. Mr. Okoampah was part of a research project on Healthy Cities for Adolescents Project (HCA-Ghana) sponsored by Bortnar in collaboration with University of Ghana. His current research goal is to explore the “Biomedical application of quantum dots nanoparticles for drug delivery”. He seeks to:
Develop and deliver in-depth courses in nanotechnology to students with the goal of influencing and equipping the following generation of engineers and scientists in medicine, agriculture, pharmaceutical industry, water treatment and renewable energy generation
Promote interdisciplinary research and expand the useful uses of nanotechnology by fostering partnerships with industry, academic institutions, and other researchers.
Conduct innovative research to further the domain of nanotechnology, publish results in esteemed publications, and enhance the scientific community's comprehension of nanoscale phenomena and applications.
