Mrs. Esther Laurinda Akomaning is a Lecturer in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø at Nyankpala, Ghana. She has more than five years of professional experience with the º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø. She has provided instruction in undergraduate programmes in Clothing and Textiles related courses such as Introduction to Textiles and Apparel, Basic Techniques in Garment Construction, Pattern Drafting and Adaptation, Garment Design and Construction, Techniques in Tailoring, Advance Tailoring, Freehand Cutting Techniques, Socio-Psychological Aspects of Clothing, Textiles and Apparel Maintenance and Apparel Management. Esther has a passion for the teaching/ learning of Clothing/Textiles. Her utmost desire is to bring the subject to the understanding of learners. She researches students’ attitudes towards the teaching and learning of Clothing and Textiles to unravel challenges and how to address them. She also has an interest in the care and maintenance of clothing-related products for individuals, groups and institutions. Concerning hotels as an institution, how hotel linen (textiles) can be managed to the satisfaction of guests. Esther is a member of the Ghana Home Economics Association.
